The Second World War Explained
by Michael O’Kelly
|
Michael O’Kelly, a former Royal Navy Officer for 34 years, was surprised to find that the new generation seemed to know little or nothing about the Second World War. He therefore thought that he could write a short account giving a rough idea of what happened to fill that gap. And perhaps it might inspire some to read one of those excellent full histories by distinguished historians. The result is a compelling, highly readable and informative book which encourages an understanding of this most tumultuous, yet tragic, period of history. This is a book which will appeal to all age groups.
