Waterloo Uncovered - Update

Waterloo Uncovered, the ground-breaking charity that combines world-class archaeology with veteran care and recovery, is holding an on-line fundraising evening event on Friday 26th February at 7pm. An Evening Uncovered will be hosted by Gyles Brandreth and will feature fun and entertainment that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.

The evening will have an entertainment-packed programme, including an insight into the work of Waterloo Uncovered from some of the veterans supported, special guest appearances, a raffle with some great prizes up for grabs, an auction via Bonhams, and catering from chef Adam Handling who will deliver restaurant quality meal boxes to your door.

We conclude the evening with a live-streaming of the 1970 film Waterloo starring Christopher Plummer, Rod Steiger, and Orson Welles.

While many of the normal fundraising events have suffered due to Covid-19, for example, our planned 12-hour relay race over the Rock of Gibraltar (now delayed until May 2022), we are hoping to hold our Waterloo to Waterloo Cycle, in Autumn 2021, starting at Waterloo Station in London and finishing on the Waterloo battlefield in Belgium, a total distance of around 250 miles.

Further details of these events, past activities, and future plans, are at waterloouncovered.com
